About the Opportunity

MedCare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist near Albany, GA to provide a broad spectrum of clinical services, including intake and eligibility, coordination of mental health services, clinical assessments, and psychological interventions for both children and adults. The successful candidate will work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview patients referred for psychological evaluation and perform standardized psychological testing to diagnose developmental and psychological problems

• Serve as a consultant to psychiatric staff and collaborate with psychiatrists and other specialists in developing treatment programs

• Observe patients and administer/interpret intelligence, achievement, interest, personality, and other psychological tests

• Provide direct individual and group clinical services to outpatient clients, including screening, evaluation, and counseling/therapy

• Develop and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy

• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and modify plans and diagnoses as necessary

• Coordinate and assure compliance with Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the agency and other social service agencies

• Consult with case management, clinical, and community services staff as the in-house clinician for psychological aspects of mental health services

• Conduct psychological testing (adults and children) and write reports

• Work with intake coordinators to develop and monitor assessment protocols

• Assist in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive psychological services for consumers

• Instruct and direct psychological interns in hospitals and clinics

• Participate in research on personality development, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders

• Serve as a consultant to industrial, social, educational, welfare, and other agencies on individual cases or program development

• Develop, direct, and participate in staff and student training programs

• Maintain 80% productivity monthly

• Complete billing forms the same day of intervention

• Provide accurate, timely documentation in patient charts per policy

• Adhere to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university

• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Active Georgia psychology license (or ability to obtain)

• Proficiency with database, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software

Work Environment

Temperature-controlled indoor office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. Potential exposure to violent situations and to airborne/bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.

Compensation

Salary starts at $110,000, commensurate with experience. Candidates can start ASAP.
